  • To activate Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 or Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 using the key file which you received having filled in the activation form: https://activation.kaspersky.com/ you should do the following:

    A key file is received by mail: 

    • open the received mail message 
    • right-click the attachment 
    • select Save as in the drop-down menu
    • choose the folder in which you would like to save the archive with the key file (for example, in the C:\ root directory) 
    • click the Save button 

     

    • unpack the received archive by any archivator. The file can be unpacked in the same folder in which the archive was saved.

    A key file is downloaded from the Kaspersky Lab site:

    • select the folder in which you would like to save the key file (for example, in the C:\ root directory) and save it.

    How to install a new key file: 

    • open Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 or Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 main application window 
    • go to the Service tab
    • left-click the License Info section
    • in the open window click the Activate button 
    • in the Setup Wizard window select Apply existing license key 
    • click Next

    Information if the currently used key file for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 or Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 is still valid, the corresponding warning window will be displayed. 

    • in the Activation window click the Browse button 
    • select the folder in which you unpacked the contents of the received archive with the key file/ saved the key file 
    • double-click the key file 
    • see the information about the added key file and click Next 
    • in the last Activation window click Finish 
    • close the window with the info about the used license keys 
    • minimize the main window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 or Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0

     

    Information The dialog windows of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP1, Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0, Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 MP1, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers are the same but with the corresponding product names and the number of Protection components. In Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers the Activate using the activation code option is not available
