Working peculiarities of Mail Dispatcher from the Anti-Spam component

Concerning to:
  • Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 MP1 (build 6.0.1.411)
  • Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 MP2
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations (all builds)
  • If Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0 is installed on your PC and the Anti-Spam component is enabled, then Mail Dispatcher will not open when some messages are received if:

    • sender’s address has earlier been added to “white” list of addresses 
    • mail is received by encrypted connection, but connection scan is not configured in the program settings

    To manage the “white” list of addresses, do the following: 

    • open the main application window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 
    • go to Settings > Protection > Anti-Spam
    • in the right part of the Settings window in the Connectivity section make sure the option Open Mail Dispatcher when receiving mail is enabled 
    • In the Sensitivity section click the Customize button 
    • On the White list tab in the Custom Settings: Anti-Spam window edit the list of white addresses sent to your mailbox. Add trusted addresses to the list or delete from the list the addresses which require opening of the Mail Dispatcher 
    • click OK tin each window 
    • minimize the main application window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0

    Informationtest@kaspersky.com is an example of “white” address.

     

     

    For Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0 to scan mail by encrypted connection and to open Mail Dispatcher when receiving mail, do the following: 

    • open the main application window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0 
    • go to Settings > Service > Network Settings 
    • in the right part of the Settings window in the Encrypted connections section select Prompt user when a new encrypted connection is detected (in this case a pop-up window is displayed confirming connection check) or the option Check all encrypted connections (in this case all encrypted connections will be checked). 
    • click OK 
    • minimize the main application window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0

     

    InformationThe dialog windows of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations MP2 and Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 MP1/MP2 are the same but with corresponding dialog windows.
