  • The following libraries of the mail client Microsoft Outlook Express are required on the user’s computer for the correct function of Mail Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam running under Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP

    • inetcomm.dll
    • mlang.dll
    • msoert2.dll
    • inetres.dll

These files are integrated in the Windows OS by default and most users do not have problems with them. But sometimes the user him/herself (or with the help of some utilities) could have deleted Microsoft Outlook Express from the system. In this case mail scan and spam filtering might be not fully performed.

To rectify the problem, do the following:

    • Copy the files inetcomm.dll, mlang.dll, msoert2.dll, inetres.dll from the OS installation-CD in the directory:
      • C:\WINDOWS\system – for Windows 98/ME
      • C:\WINDOWS\system32- for Windows NT/2000/XP
    • Go to Start > Run
    • In the Run window enter regsvr32 inetcomm.dll command
    • Click OK

If the library has been registered successfully the following dialog window will be displayed on the screen:

    • Click OK

Perform the same actions for other libraries mlang.dll, msoert2.dll, inetres.dll
