    • Statistical analysis is the basic technology of the most antivirus engines. This method is used to detect polymorphous viruses. During the work the scanner analyzes frequency of the processor commands usage, creates the table of the frequently used processor commands and on this information concludes if the file is infected or not. This method is effective to search some polymorphous viruses as such viruses use limited set of commands, while “clean” files use other commands and with different frequency.
