Before you activate the product, make sure the system date is set correctly on your PC.

To prolong the license for Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0, do the following:

• Open the main application window 
• Go to the “Service tab 
• Click on the “License renewal” link. The renew your license page will appear 



• Choose the product you would like to purchase and click on the “Renew” button

After you have prolonged the license and received the activation code/license key, it should be activated in the program:

• Open the main application window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0/Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0
• Go to the Service link 
• In the right part of the Service window click License info field 
• In the open dialog window click Activate

The Setup Wizard offers four variants how to activate the program:

• Activate using the activation code 
• Activate trial version (30 days) 
• Apply existing license key 
• Activate later (if you choose this option the Setup Wizard will finish its work and close the window)

Variants 1 and 2: Activate using the activation code and Activate trial version (30 days) 

These methods are only available in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP1, Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 and Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 MP1.

• Choose Activate using the activation code and click Next

If the current activation code (license key) expires in more than two weeks, then after a new activation code/license key has been activated this period is lost and the license validity period starts from the latest product activation. It also refers to the option Activate trial version (30 days). If a trial version has already been activated then this option will be missing in the window. 

• Enter your personal information in the next window: name, e-mail, country, and city. Click Next

Note: to activate the code successfully connect with the Internet. 

• Wait till the work of the Setup Wizard is over. In case of successful activation the Wizard will display a dialog window with the license number. Click Finish

Variant 3: Activate existing license key 

• Choose the third activation variant and click Next 
• In the open dialog window click Browse 
• In the next window choose the folder in which a license key file is saved. Highlight the key and click Open. 

• Click Next to continue.

Note! If a previous license key is still valid then a new key will be added as a reserve one. One the active key expires, the program will start using the reserve key automatically.

The dialog windows for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP1, Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0, Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 MP1, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 SOS and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations are the same but with corresponding product names and the number of Protection components.
