Sometimes Kaspersky Lab Tech Support needs to get from you a screen copy with an error message or with a settings window of Kaspersky Lab product (a Tech Support expert will inform you about the kind of the display to be sent). To create the copy, do the following:

  • Reproduce the situation that leads to the message to be displayed
  • When the necessary message is displayed, press the Print Screen button (usually it is next to the F12 button)
  • run the Paint program the following way:
    • go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint
  • next go to > Edit > Paste
  • In the File menu select Save as, enter the name of the file and save it in the JPG format (the image in this format is less than in the default BMP format)
  • Attach this file to the HelpDesk form with the description of the installation problem.

InformationAfter you have filled in the HelpDesk form, you can choose one of three variants how to attach a file to the form:

  • Upload of your files directly from this web-form: you can attach the necessary files to the message using this web-form.
  • Upload your files on Kaspersky Lab's FTP server manually: you can attach the necessary files to your message by uploading them on the Kaspersky Lab's FTP server in the folder with the name of your request number.
