High speed scans the following objects by the following technologies: 

• all files that can be infected
• packed files

• the size of a scanned object is restricted: 8192 KB, if the size is larger then Kaspersky Anti-Virus starts scanning another object. 

• stop if scan takes longer than: 60 sec, if the object was not scanned during this period, then Kaspersky Anti-Virus starts scanning another object

To change the scan level for real-time file protection, do the following: 

• Go to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations > Settings > On-Demand Scan tasks 
• In the On-Demand Scan tasks window select the on-demand scan tasks you would like to change protection level and click the link with the protection level set for the task 
• In the Scan settings window on the Settings tab in the Settings drop-down list select the necessary protection level 
• Close each window by pressing OK 
• Minimize the Kaspersky Anti-virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations main window
