Concerning to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations 5.0.527 and above

In the latest version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Widows Workstations (full version number is 5.0.490 and above) you can manage on-demand scan and anti-virus database updates tasks not from the main application window, but through the context menu of the program as well. You can do it the following way:

  • right-click the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 icon in the right-down corner of the screen
  • in the menu choose Running tasks (if at least one on-demand scan task or anti-virus database update tasks is being performed) and then choose the submenu with the name of the task in progress, which you want to manage

  • in the open window that displays the task progress make the necessary actions or changes.
