Concerning to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations 5.0.527 - 5.0.712
At the operating system startup Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations by default scans startup objects/files for malicious code. If you by some reason want to disable the function (for advanced users only), do the following:
- Go to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations > Settings > On-Demand Scan tasks
- In the On-Demand Scan tasks dialog box select in the list of on-demand scan task Scan at the system startup (pay attention: left of the option there is a clock image: i.e. the task is scheduled) and click a link in the Next start section
- In the open window in the Schedule tab uncheck the Run by the schedule checkbox
- Close each window by pressing OK
- Minimize the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations main window

Note: in the list of on-demand scan the clock image disappears, i.e. the task will not run by the scheduled configured After it the antivirus pack will not scan objects/files automatically run at system startup when you are staring your PC.
