  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus versions 4.xxx could scan archive files. By default this option was disabled, but the user could enable it. At the same time the user got a message that it would lead to sharp delay of computer work. As the practice shows, the users in general ignored the warning message, forgot about enabled archive scan and then complained about slow work with antivirus switched on. That is why it was decided to extract in versions 5.0 archive monitoring (real-time file protection). Even if the archive contains a virus still it will be scanned by monitor when unzipping the archive.
