Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations MP4 (builds 5.0.527 - 5.0.528)Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations contains a component that scans VBA-macros in the document of the MS-Office format and is known as Kaspersky Office guard. This component functions according to the protection levels you configure in the Real-Time macros protection (Levels of real-time macros protection in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations). When detecting a potentially dangerous macros Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations may either allow execution, prompt for action, block execution of a suspicious macros or block the executable script that contains this suspicious macros – that depends on real-time VBA-macros protection you configured (Kaspersky Office guard).
To change the Real-Time VBA-macros protection settings, do the following:
- Go to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations > Settings > Configure Real-Time Protection
- In the Real-Time Protection settings switch to the Macros tab
- In the Macros dialog box in the list of dangerous macros select the macros you need and the Action list select the necessary action
- Close each window by pressing OK
- Minimize the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations main window

In the Action list over a dangerous macros the following actions are available:
- Allow execution: when a potentially dangerous script with the macros chosen is detected it will be executed
- Prompt for action: when a potentially dangerous script with the selected macros is detected you will be suggested either allow the macros execution or block the script or allow the script execution
- Block execution: when a potentially dangerous script with the macros chosen is detected the macros execution will be blocked
- Block script: when a potentially dangerous script with the macros chosen is detected the script execution will be blocked
