Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations MP5 (builds 5.0.676 - 5.0.712)

Each component of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations can be manually configured or can function according to one of three protection levels: High speed, Recommended, Maximum protection. This article views levels of real-time macros protection.

Action of the Maximum protection level is: 

• Block all potentially dangerous scripts

Action of the Recommended protection level is: 

• Block all potentially dangerous macros, except: disable the prompt to save the Normal template, disable anti-virus protection, executing MacroCopy command, copying modules (OrganizerCopy), import modules, deleting files, copying Excel worksheets – these scripts are fully blocked.

Action of the High speed level is: 

• All macros execution is allowed, except: disable the prompt to save the Normal template, disable anti-virus protection, executing MacroCopy command, copying modules (OrganizerCopy), import modules, deleting files, copying Excel worksheets – these scripts are prompted for action. 

To change the level of real-time macros protection, do the following: 

• Go to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations > Settings >Configure Real-Time Protection > Macros 
• In the drop down Protection level settings menu select the necessary level 
• Close the window by pressing OK 
• Minimize the main window of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations

After it Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations will work according to the setting level configured
