Concerning to Kaspersky Administration Kit (versions 5.0.1104 - 5.0.1152)
To upgrade your version 4.0 of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Win Workstations to 5.0, uninstall 4.0 version first and then install 5.0 version: either in a local or remote way by Kaspersky Administration Kit 5.0
Upgrading of Kaspersky Antivirus for Windows workstations from 4.5 to 5.0 versions is done by installing 5.0 version “over the top” of the previous one. During the installation process an older version of Anti-Virus is deleted. There is no need to unload version 4.5. When the installation is complete, the OS should be rebooted.
Depending on the LAN configuration the upgrade can be done in one of the following ways:
1. Local installation of Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 5.0 on workstation “over the top of” 4.5 version
2. Remote installation using Kaspersky Administration Kit 5.0. You should do the following for it:
-
create a logical network (you can use the structure of the logical network built with the help of Kaspersky Administration Kit 4.x);
Notes:
-
The settings of 4.x version will not be saved during Kaspersky Anti-Virus upgrade process. You can use the recommended default settings to configure the application in a local way or to define the Antivirus policy on client computers in a centralized way, with the help of group policies in Kaspersky Administration Kit 5.0
