Having updated the Anti-Virus databases for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 Personal, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 Personal PRO and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations you may have the problem when you cannot enable Protection against Network Attacks. To rectify the problem, do the following:
open the explorer: right-click Start in the down right corner of the screen > select Explore in the drop-down menu
in the explorer address line enter C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers
click the Enter button on the keyboard
explorer will open the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers folder
in the open folder find the files klick.vxd and klin.vxd
fill in the HelpDesk form, do not forget to give detailed description of your problem and the date of the anti-virus databases last update in this form
attach the GetSystemInfo report and the files klick.sys, klin.sys to the form
Note: the problem may also arise if you update from a local folder into which you have downloaded and saved databases of network attacks (manually or by the Kaspersky Lab’s product, in which protection against network attacks is not included). In this case update the Anti-Virus databases from the local update folder with the correct structure.
