Concerning to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers Enterprise Edition MP2

In Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers Enterprise Edition an administrator can exclude the following objects from scan: 

  • exclude selected file, scripts or folders; 
  • exclude files, scripts or folders by the mask; 
  • exclude from the Anti-Virus processing objects that contain some threats.

Information The easiest way to configure exclusions is via the trusted zone of the Anti-Virus. Exclusions for a selected task should be configured only if these exclusions must be applied to the selected on-demand scan task.

Warning Objects can be excluded from script monitoring via the Trusted zone only.

Scenarios how to configure different types of exclusions for a selected task are given below

 

Excluding specified files or folders

1. In the Anti-Virus Console select an Anti-Virus task to whose settings you would like to add exclusions.

2. In the right part of the Console clear the boxes next to the files/folder which you would like to exclude from scan.

 

 

Once the boxes of the child sites are cleared, the boxes of the parent sites turn grey.

3. In order to save the task settings click Save in the Console menu.

 

Excluding files or folders by the mask

1. In the Anti-Virus Console select an Anti-Virus task to whose settings you would like to add exclusions.

2. in the right part of the Console in the on-demand scan tree select the node to whose settings you would like to add exclusion mask and click Properties.

3. In the open window go to the Performance tab > check Exclude objects > click the Modify button to enter exclusion masks.

 

 

Examples:

*.exe – all files with the *.exe mask

*.ex? – all files with the *.ex? mask, where instead of the ? mark any symbol can be used.

test – all files named test

 

Once the exclusion masks are added for child sites, the boxes of the parent sites turn grey.

Information In the Exclude objects field you can add only exclusion masks to the objects, without paths.

4. In order to save the task settings click Save in the Console menu.

 

Excluding threats

1. In the Anti-Virus Console select an Anti-Virus task to whose settings you would like to add exclusions.

2. in the right part of the Console in the on-demand scan tree select the node to whose settings you would like to add threats exclusion. I.e. the Anti-Virus will not trigger when it detects a threat in this node. Click Properties.

3. In the open window go to the Performance tab > check Exclude threats > click the Modify button to enter the name of the threat. Pay attention, you should enter the original name of the threat as detected by Kaspersky Anti-Virus. Masks are allowed.

 

Once the threats exclusion masks are added for child sites, the boxes of the parent sites turn grey.

4. In order to save the task settings click Save in the Console menu.
