The license key can be installed:

  • during the Anti-Virus installation:
    • when installing locally – prior to running the Anti-Virus installation save the license key in the folder with the Anti-Virus distributive or specify during the installation the path to the key file.

    • when installing via Kaspersky Administration Kit – add the license key into the installation package when creating the package.

    • when installing via a command line – prior to installation save the key file into the folder with the Anti-Virus distributive or run a special command line parameter:

LICENSEKEYPATH=<key_file_name_ and_full_path_to_it>

    • when installing via Group Policy - prior to installation save the key file into the folder with the Anti-Virus distributive
  • after the Anti-Virus installation

    • locally, via the Anti-Virus Console

In the Anti-Virus Console go to the License Keys node, right-click the node and run the Install Key command

    • locally, by running the command line value:

KAVSHELL LICENSE [/ADD:<key_file_name_or_full_path_to_it> [/R] | /DEL <serial number>].

/ADD – installs the key from a file with a name given by the /ADD value.

/R – is an additional value to /ADD. It shows that the installed key has the reserve status.

/DEL <serial number> - deletes keys with the serial number, given by the /DEL value.

Examples:

KAVSHELL LICENSE /ADD:C:/License.key – installs a key from a file;

KAVSHELL LICENSE – shows info about the installed keys;

KAVSHELL LICENSE /DEL 0000-000000-00000001 – deletes the installed key with the serial number 0000-000000-00000001.

Without values the command KAVSHELL LICENSE returns the following information about the installed keys:

      • serial key number;
      • key type (for beta-testing, commercial or trial);
      • key validity period;
      • if the installed key is reserve. A reserve key should have the * mark.
