Concerning to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers Enterprise Edition
If the protected server has frozen (does not respond) and establishing connection with the installed Kaspersky Anti-Virus through the Console takes a lot of time or does not finish at all then in order to connect from the same remote computer to another server, close the Console and run the following command:
mmc.exe <full_path_to_file_kavfs.msc> /avserver:<SERVER>,
where <full_path_to_file_kavfs.msc> is a path to the file kavfs.msc, which resides in the setup folder of the Anti-Virus Administrative Tools. By default C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 For Windows Servers Enterprise Edition Admins Tools.
<SERVER>-is a name or IP-address of another server.
Example,
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\mmc.exe" "C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 For Windows Servers Enterprise Edition Admins Tools\kavfs.msc" /avserver:WIN_SERV_2K3
You can connect to the protected server using another way:
1. Go to Start>Run>enter mmc> click Run.
2. In the menu File select the command Add / Remove Snap-in.
3. In the open window Add / Remove Snap-in click the button Add and in the list of snap-ins select Kaspersky Anti-Virus. Click the Add button.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus snap-in is displayed in the list only if Administration Tools of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers Enterprise Edition are installed on the computer.
4. Define the connection parameters to connect to another protected server. Click the Finish button > click Close > in the window Add / Remove Snap-in click OK.
