- In the address field either copy or enter manually from the keyboard http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/online
- In the open window click Browse
- In the Choose File window select a possibly infected file and press the Open button
- Make sure that the file name and its path are specified correctly and press the Submit button
- Wait until the process finishes
- Acquaint with the scan results of a suspicious file

You can scan only one file at a time and its size should be not bigger than 1MB (if trying to load a very big file the server will display a technical page with an error message). If you suspect several files to be infected, scan them in turn or archive them (zip, arj, etc) and scan it. The size of an archive should also be not more that 1 MB.
If a possibly infected file is really infected with a malicious code known to Kaspersky Lab you will get the name of the malicious program corresponding to the records in the antivirus database. If you are interested in the description of the malicious program, read it in the link www.viruslist.com (How to get a virus description?)
