When installing Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0 the Setup Wizard suggests setting scan of computer areas:
- Scan startup objects includes scan of all startup files when Windows operating system is loaded. Startup objects are scanned each time the PC is switched on or after each anti-virus database update. Click the Change button next to the option, to set the necessary schedule.
- Scan critical areas includes scan of system files, startup objects, system memory and disk boot sectors. By default the task is not scheduled, it is launched by on-demand of the user. Click the Change button next to the option, to set the necessary schedule.
- Full computer scan includes scan of all computer files and critical areas for viruses. By default the task is not scheduled, it is launched by on-demand of the user. Click the Change button next to the option, to set the necessary schedule.

Configure the necessary settings for system tasks to scan Startup objects, Critical areas and My Computer and click Next to continue initial setting of Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 6.0.
The dialog windows of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 MP1/MP2, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 SOS
and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers are the same. Only Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 MP1/MP2 has different dialog windows with its product name.
