Kaspersky Lab informs about commercial release of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 SOS. The full version number is 5.0.712.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 SOS is intended for periodic scan of workstation on demand of the user/administrator for infected objects for their further disinfection/deletion. This application does not provide full and complete protection of the computer against malicious programs as the real-time protection module is not embedded in the product unlike in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 SOS can be installed on a computer with another full-functional Anti-Virus software of another vendor – as no real-time protection/scan components are not integrated in the application it allows avoiding conflicts in their co-work.
When used concurrently with another Kaspersky anti-virus software Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 SOS acts an additional scanner to scan your computer periodically, thus increasing the protection level of your computer.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 SOS will help you to evaluate advantages of the Kaspersky Lab’s solutions – high detection level of Malware, frequency of anti-virus database updates, the product can be managed via Kaspersky Administration Kit.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 SOS does not give full protection of your computer against malicious programs as the real-time scan module is not integrated in the product.
