Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 SOS

To copy updates to a separate folder: 

1. Install Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations version 5.0.527 or above.

2. Open the Antivirus main application window on the Settings tab and click the Configure Updater link. Choose the update task and click Properties.

3. In the updater settings window choose an update source; if necessary configure parameters of the proxy-server and other settings.

4. Go to the Settings tab and in the Local update source section specify the path to the folder in which all updates are stored.

Checking the Copy updates for all application checkbox depends on what databases the Administration Server should download.

If the checkbox is checked then anti-virus databases for all Kaspersky Lab products are downloaded: 

• databases for all Kaspersky Lab products 
• databases of spam samples for all Kaspersky Lab products 
• databases of known threats for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations version 5.0.527 and above

NOTE: if you enable this parameter then the update source must have a FULL set of all anti-virus databases released by Kaspersky Lab. That is why if as an update folder you have checked Administration Server then in the update task of the Administration Server on the Settings tab choose Download all available updates.

If the checkbox Copy updates for all applications is not checked then only anti-virus databases are copied.
