Installation of Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile 6.0 Enterprise Edition is performed remotely using Kaspersky Administration Kit. The installation procedure consists of two steps: 1) KAV Mobile EE Installer utility is installed on a computer in the corporate network by running a remote install task; 2) a mobile device is connected to the workstation/ server, the utility KAV Mobile EE Installer installs the Anti-Virus on a mobile device.

In order to install Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 Enterprise Edition on a mobile device Microsoft Active Sync must be used, otherwise the KAV Mobile EE Installer will not be able to detect the connected devices.

In order to install Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile Enterprise Edition, perform the following steps:

1. On the Administration Server open the port for mobile devices.

Open properties of the Administration Server to which all mobile devices will be connected > go to the Settings tab > check the box Open port for mobile devices and (if necessary) change the port number. The default port number is 13292.

2. On the Administration Console install the Application control plug-in. 

On the computer with the installed Administration Console of Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0, run the file klcfginst.exe from the distributive of Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile 6.0 Enterprise Edition (the file ususally resides in the akplugin folder). As a result Application control plugin to manage Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile 6.0 Enterprise Edition is added to the Administration Console.

3. Create an installation package for Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile 6.0 Enterprise Edition.

Right-click the Remote install node in the Administration Console > in its context menu choose New > Installation Package. In the New package wizard enter the name of the installation package and specify the path to the file kmlisten.kpd from the distributive of Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile 6.0 Enterprise Edition. 

Once created the installation package resides in the subfolder Packages of the shared folder (the default folder is Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Administration Kit\Share\Packages\KLMOBILE 6.X.X.XX).

4. Define the address and port of the Administration Server.

After a new installation package has been added, find it in the Remote install node and open its properties. Go to the Properties tab and define the address of the Administration Server to which the mobile device will connect.

If on the Administration Server you have opened a different port from the default one (13292) for mobile devices to connect, change this port on the Properties tab of the installation package.

On the same tab you can change name of the group in the Network container (in the domain view) into which all mobile devices are moved after Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile 6.0 Enterprise Edition is installed on them. The default group name is PDAGroup.

5. Add a license key to the installation package.

License info can be added on the Selecting the License tab. If a key file was distributed with the Anti-Virus before creation of the installation package in this case license info is automatically added to the package and is displayed on this tab.

A key file can be added to the application only during the installation of the Anti-Virus!

6. Create a remote install task.

For client computer of the corporate network to which mobile device are connected create a (global/group/local) remote install task for this installation package.

Run the task for execution.

The KAV Mobile EE Installer utility registers itself in the system registry. That is why if Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations is installed on your PC then the utility should be installed by means of the Administration Agent (see the Settings tab of the remote install task). If the Agent is not installed/ is not running, then before starting the task for execution disable on all target computers Registry Guard in the Proactive Defense.

Successful task execution is installation of the utility KAV Mobile EE Installer on target computers. Once KAV Mobile EE Installer is installed it resides in the computer RAM (kmlisten.exe). When connecting a mobile device to the computer (via a cable/cradle), KAV Mobile EE Installer will suggest that the user installs Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile 6.0 Enterprise Edition on this device.

In order to install Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 Enterprise Edition on a mobile device Microsoft Active Sync must be used, otherwise the KAV Mobile EE Installer will not be able to detect the connected devices.

The utility KAV Mobile EE Installer can be uninstalled from a client computer locally only via Control Panel > Add or Remove Program. To disable automatic start of KAV Mobile EE Installer on detection of mobile devices (even those on which Kaspersky Anti-Virus is already installed) check the box Stop KAV Mobile EE Installer from looking for devices in the KAV Mobile EE Installer window.

7. Start installing the Anti-Virus on a mobile device.

Connect a mobile device to a computer with the started utility KAV Mobile EE Installer. KAV Mobile EE Installer window will be displayed on the screen.

Select a device from the list of suggested devices and press the Install button. To abort the installation, press Cancel.

To disable automatic start of KAV Mobile EE Installer on detection of mobile devices (even those on which Kaspersky Anti-Virus is already installed) check the box Stop KAV Mobile EE Installer from looking for devices in the KAV Mobile EE Installer window. As a result KAV Mobile EE Installer will be unloaded from the computer RAM.

To manually run the installer utility, run the file C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Labs\Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile EE Installer\kmlisten.exe.

8. If on the previous step you have selected to install the Anti-Virus, read the text of the license agreement on the mobile device. If you agree to all the terms, press OK. To abort the installation, press Cancel

9. Some time later (in 5 – 10 minutes) after the Anti-Virus installation on a mobile device open the Network container in the Administration Console. Change its view to domain view and find in it PDAGroup (if you have not changed its name in the installation package of Kaspersky Anti-Virus Mobile 6.0 Enterprise Edition). All mobile devices with Kaspersky Anti-Virus installed on them will be displayed in this group.
