Can a license violator replace antivirus databases?
 ID Article: 613    Other languages:  Francais  Deutsch  日本語  Polski  Русский  Español  Sweden      Views for 7 days 283    Last modified on 2009 Oct 05 18:40 Printable version

Applies to all Kaspersky Lab's products

A license violator can download the antivirus database from the Kaspersky Lab site and copy them into folder where the antivirus database are saved, but Kaspersky Anti-Virus will not use them! All antivirus databases have unique signature and it is checked by Kaspersky Anti-Virus when updating. Kaspersky Anti-Virus will not use the databases if:

- the signature does not correspond to the signature given in Kaspersky Lab;
- your license has already expired and the antivirus database is released after your license expire date.
