Installation of Kaspersky Mobile Security 7.0 Enterprise Edition via a remote install task has 2 steps: 1) a special utility for KMS 7.0 EE Installer should be installed onto one computer in the corporate network via a remote install task; 2) when this mobile device is connected to the workstation/ server, the KMS 7.0 EE Installer utility installs Kaspersky Mobile Security 7.0 Enterprise Edition directly onto a mobile device.
1. Make sure pre-installation preparation has been performed on the Administration Server. The preparation process is different for Administration servers version 6.0 and 8.0. Please follow the links in the block Usefull Links in the upper right corner of the page for detailed instructions on how to prepare a Server.
2. Create a remote install task.
For client computers in the corporate network to which mobile devices connect, create a remote install task for the created installation package for Kaspersky Mobile Security 7.0 Enterprise Edition (global/ group/ local).
Launch the task.
The KMS 7.0 EE Installer utility registers itself in the system registry that is why if Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations is installed on the workstation, then the utility should be installed by means of the Administration Agent (see the Settings tab of the remote install task). If the Agent is not installed/ not run, disable Registry Guard (Proactive defense component) on target computers before starting this task.
The result of successful remote install task is the KMS 7.0 EE Installer utility installed onto selected target computers. This utility will always reside in the memory (kmlisten.exe) and when a mobile device connects to this computer via cradle the utility will prompt to install Kaspersky Mobile Security 7.0 Enterprise Edition onto the mobile device.
Microsoft Active Sync should be installed on the workstation; otherwise the utility KMS 7.0 EE Installer will fail to detect a connected mobile device.
The KMS 7.0 EE Installer utility can be removed from a client computer locally only via Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. To disable automatic start of the KMS 7.0 EE Installer utility check the box Stop KMS 7.0 EE Installer from looking for devices in the utility main window.
4. Start installation of the Anti-Virus onto a mobile device.
Connect a mobile device to a computer where the KMS 7.0 EE Installer utility is launched. The window of the KMS 7.0 EE Installer utility will be displayed on the screen.
To install the Anti-Virus check the necessary device and click the Install button. To cancel installation click the Close button.
To disable automatic start of KMS 7.0 EE Installer when mobile devices are detected (even those with Kaspersky Anti-Virus installed on them) check the box Stop KMS 7.0 EE Installer from looking for devices in the start window of the utility. As a result the KMS 7.0 EE Installer utility is unloaded from the computer RAM.
To run the utility manually, run the file C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Labs\Kaspersky Mobile Security 7.0 EE Installer\kmlisten.exe.
5. Establishing a first connection between Kaspersky Mobile Security and an Administration Server.
THIS STEP APPLIES TO KASPERSKY MOBILE SECURITY VERSION 7.0.0.54 [Windows Mobile], 7.0.20 [Symbian]ONLY .
Kaspersky Mobile Security version 7.0.1.85 [Windows Mobile] and 7.0.31 [Symbian] establish first connection to the Administration server automatically, without user's participating.
After installing Kaspersky Mobile Security 7.0 Enterprise Edition, you should manually run the product on the device. The user will be suggested to activate the application (i.e. establish a connection with the Administration server).
If a message is displayed informing that the application cannot activate appears on the screen it means the synchronization was successful.
6. Moving mobile devices into an administration group.
THIS STEP APPLIES ONLY IF MANAGING KASPERSKY MOBILE SECURITY VIA KASPERSKY ADMINISTRATION KIT VERSION 6.0
Kaspersky Administration Kit 8.0 automatically moves devices into a desired administration group as configured when preparing the Server to install Kaspersky Mobile Security 7.0 Enterprise Edition.
After the first successful synchronization the device will appear in the PDAGroup group of the Network container in the Administration Console.
Expand the Network container in the domain view on the Administration server. Find the PDAGroup group and manually move mobile devices from it to the administration group you defined when preparing the Administration server for Kaspersky Mobile Security 7.0 Enterprise Edition installation.
Kaspersky Mobile Security 7.0 Enterprise Edition will be activated after the next synchronization (you can do it manually from a amobile device).
For the devices to be added automatically to the selected administration group, in the properties of the PDAGroup group set relocation of the detected devices.
