Applies to:
  • Kaspersky Mobile Security 7.0 Enterprise Edition
  • Kaspersky Administration Kit 8.0
  • Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0 MP1/MP2
  • According to the default settings, Kaspersky Mobile Security 7.0 Enterprise Edition installed on the mobile device synchronizes with the Administration Server every 3 hours. During the synchronization Kaspersky Mobile Security receives from the Server new working parameters and in turn sends to the Server information about the status and events which occurred during work of Kaspersky Mobile Security.

Information  It is not recommended to decrease the synchronization interval unless necessary – it may result in increasing the volume of the transferred traffic.

You can change the synchronization period in the policy of Kaspersky Mobile Security on the Additional settings tab:

Warning Synchronization of Kaspersky Mobile Security with the Administration Server is ONE-SIDED! I.e. Kaspersky Mobile Security initiates the synchronization. You cannot perform manual synchronization from the Administration Server. Thus any changes of settings in the policy will be sent to the Anti-Virus not immediately after the policy is “locked” and the Apply button is clicked, but during the next synchronization.

    Example

The synchronization period is set to every 3 hours in the policy of Kaspersky Mobile Security. 15 minutes after the Anti-Virus synchronized with the Server you change the synchronization period to Every hour. The next synchronization will be performed in 2 hours and 45 minutes. And the following one will be performed in 1 hour.

But you can manually initiate synchronization with the Administration Server from a mobile device. For it open the menu of the Anti-Virus > Updater > Update settings.

Warning Kaspersky Anti-Virus cannot immediately send information about changed data to the Server. Changes will be sent to the Server only during the next synchronization interval.

    Example

The synchronization period is set to every 3 hours in the Anti-Virus policy. During the synchronization with the Administration Server the Real-time protection was working. This information was sent to the Server and is displayed on the General tab in the properties of the client computer (mobile device).

One hour later Real-time protection was disabled. Information about the change of the Anti-Virus working status will be sent to the Administration Server only in 2 hours – during the next synchronization.
