Concerning to:
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus (all versions)
  • Kaspersky Internet Security (all versions)
  • It is known that the updates size is critical for users. In Kaspersky Lab products (all versions) the new technology is used to decrease the update size. Incremental database updates are processed as follows: the update module compares files updated or missing on the PC. This comparison includes  anti-virus databases, databases of network attacks and application modules.

This allows the use of one technology for all kinds of updates and one infrastructure is used to maintain this technology. While configuring update for each component separately would decrease the technological efficiency of the update process.
