How to import\export settings in the Kaspersky Lab products version 7.0

  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0 (all builds)
  • Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 (all builds)
  • Kaspersky Lab’s products version 7.0 include the option of importing and exporting settings. This is a helpful feature when, for example, you need reinstall the OS, save the program settings and go on using them after the OS reinstall. You can export settings into a configuration file and import the saved settings back once the OS and product have been reinstalled. You can also use this option if you want to load settings of Kaspersky Labs’ product version 7.0 onto another computer.

    In order to export the application settings into a file, do the following: 

    • open the main application window 
    • click the Settings button 
    • In the left part of the window choose Service 
    • in the Configuration manager section click the Save button 
    • specify the configuration file 
    • in the File name field enter the name of the configuration file 
    • click the Save button
    • click OK 
    • minimize the main application window

     

    In order to import the application settings from a file, do the following: 

    • open the main application window 
    • click the Settings button 
    • In the left part of the window choose Service 
    • in the Configuration manager section click the Load button 
    • specify the configuration file 
    • choose the configuration file 
    • click Open 
    • click OK 
    • minimize the main application window
