Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010

The causes of the error might be: 

• No Internet connection on the computer 
• No rule for a Kaspersky Lab’s product is created in the allowing rules of the Firewall installed on the PC

Resolution: check if you have the Internet access (by launching the browser Internet Explorer). If Firewall is installed on your computer, make sure that an allowing rule is created for the process avp.exe in the Firewall settings.

If the recommendations described above did not help to resolve the problem, try to activate later (in about an hour). If the error keeps repeating create a request to Kaspersky Lab Technical Support via the web-form.
