Concerning to Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0 MP1
The task of remote push deinstallation is created by New task wizard. There are two ways to start it:
- from the details panel of the Global tasks node by clicking the Add task link. A global task will be created to uninstall applications on all selected computers.
- from the details panel of the Group tasks subfolder of any group by clicking the Add task link. In this case the Select target computers step is missing. A new group task will be created for the group.
The Wizard's steps are the following:
1. In the welcome window click Next.
2. Enter new task name and click Next.
3. In the Select application window type of task and application that executes the task are specified.
Choose in the Application list - Kaspersky Administration Kit, and in the Task type list - Product deinstallation task.

Click Next.
4. In the next window select an application to uninstall on a client computer. It may be one of Kaspersky Lab applications in the Application to uninstall drop-down list or you can select a third-party vendor application. To uninstall a third-party vendor application check Uninstall the external application and choose the necessary application in the Application to uninstall list.

Click Next.
5. In the Remote uninstall method window choose Forced uninstall and click Next. The step is missing if the task was created from the Group tasks folder of any group.
6. In the next window choose the way and parameters to load uninstall utility on a client computer.
- Using Microsoft Windows recourses from public access folder
- Using Network Agent

Click Next
7. On this step client computers to uninstall the application are selected. The step is missing if you created the task from the Group tasks folder of any group.
How do you want to select computers for the task:
- I want to select computers using Windows Networking – if you select this variant and click Next, then in the next window you will see tree structure of nodes Network and Groups, with all computers included in them. Necessary computers should be checked.

- I want to define IP addresses for the computers – if you choose the second variant and click Next, then in the next window you should enter IP-addresses (or the range of the IP-addresses) or import IP-addresses from the file-list. Each address in this TXT-format should be placed on a new line
You can edit the list of IP-addresses/NetBIOS-names by the Add/Remove buttons, and specify the path to the file-list of IP-addresses in the window that opens by clicking the Import button.

Click Next once the computers are selected.
8. In the next window you can define the user account under which the task will start.
If the deinstallation is done on the computer on which the Administration Agent has not been installed yet, then the account should have
- rights to start remotely the applications on the client computer in the logical network;
- rights for Admin$ source;
- right to Logon as a service;
- right to deinstall
If the Agent is already installed then the Administration Agent will execute all operations to copy and install necessary files under Local System Account.
The Wizard allows you to specify either the user's account under which the Administration Server runs (the Default account variant), or parameters of another account.
On this step of the task creating the data you have specified are not checked for validity! If you misprint the password or the user's name then the application is not deinstalled.

If product deinstallation task is created for the computers that are included in different domains, then trust relationship is necessary between the domains.
Click Next , to continue.
9. In the Task scheduling settings window choose when you want to execute the task. The task can be executed once or periodically. In some cases it can be reasonable to create a periodic task, if when the task is being executed some computers are switched off. Still if the task need be configured additionally before it is started, select Manually, change additional parameters and configure the schedule once again (in the task properties)
Also before the task is started, check that Server is launched on client computers and Simple File Sharing is disabled.
Click Next.
10. In the Completing the New Task Wizard window of product deployment task, click Finish to confirm the task creation.
Then the task will appear:
- in the Global tasks node, if the Wizard was started from the details panel of the node.
- in the Group tasks subfolder of the group for which the task was created.
You can view the task execution in the History window. To open the window, go to Task > Properties > General > History.
