Events in the work of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations/ File Servers

  • Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0 MP1
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows File Servers

All events that occur during the work of the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations/ File Servers may have the following severity levels: 

  • Critical 
    • Your license has expired 
    • Anti-virus database update deadline missed (the numerical value is defined in the Notifications window on the Additional tab and corresponds to the Anti-virus database has not been updated for a very long time, days parameter)

 

    • Virus detected

Pay attention, based on the number of the events of the kind the Virus outbreak event of the Administration Server is generated. So if the Virus detected event is not saved in the Server database then the Virus outbreak event cannot be generated. 

    • Your computer has not been fully scanned for a long time (the numerical value is defined in the Notifications window on the Additional tab and corresponds to the Anti-virus database has not been updated for a very long time, days parameter)
  • Error 
    • License has not passed verification 
    • General operation error 
    • Internal error 
  • Warning 
    • Object disinfected 
    • Object deleted 
    • Your license expires soon - the event occurs 14 days before the license key file expires and the notification is displayed every day till the expiry date 
    • A suspicious object has been detected 
    • General operation error 
    • Your operating system was rebooted 
    • Anti-virus database update deadline missed (the numerical value is defined in the Notifications window on the Additional tab and corresponds to the Anti-virus database has not been updated for a long time, days parameter) 
    • Application was restarted 
    • Password-protected archive detected 
    • Object could not be disinfected
    • Your computer has not been fully scanned for a long time (the numerical value is defined in the Notifications window on the Additional tab and corresponds to the Anti-virus database has not been updated for a long time, days parameter) 
  • Info 
    • Real-time protection level changed

 

Parameters of each event can be configured separately for each application in the application policy on the Events tab.

NOTE!!! Parameters to store and to send information about the occurred events are defined for each event SEPARATELY. Highlight EACH event and define its parameters. To configure parameters for several events at a time highlight the necessary events by pressing the Shift or Ctrl button or click the Select all button.

 

In order to choose/set the notification method about an event occurrence (by e-mail, NET SEND or by running executable), check the corresponding boxes in the table.

Parameters to save the events and notification parameters can be set in the Properties window. To open the window click the Properties button on the Events tab.
