Events in the work of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations/ File Servers

Concerning to:

  • Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0 MP1
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations
  • Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Servers

All events that occur during the work of the Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations/ File Servers may have the following severity levels: 

  • Critical 
    • Detection of viruses, worms, Trojans, hack tools 
    • InformationPay attention the Virus outbreak event of the Administration Server is formed based on this event type computing. Thus if the Detection of viruses, worms, Trojans, hack tools event is not saved in the Server database then the Virus outbreak event will not be generated either.

    • Detection of possibly infected object 
    • Disinfection impossible 
    • License has expired 
    • Hacker attack detection (for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations only
    • Threat signatures are obsolete – the notification is displayed if the signatures were released more than 7 days ago and have not been updated since then.
  • Error
    • License is missing, corrupted or blacklisted 
    • Update error 
    • Task cannot execute 
    • Threat signatures are missing or corrupted
  • Important:
    • Detection of adware, Spyware, etc 
    • License is about to expire - The notification appears if the license expires in less than a fortnight. 
    • Other important events - notifies the user by a recommendation to scan the computer for viruses; notifies the user that the system functions in the safe mode; notifies the user that some malicious objects have been detected on the computer; notifies the user that the PC should be restarted. 
    • Threat signatures are out of date - notifies the user about obsolete signatures. Notification about obsolete signatures appears if signatures have not been updated for 2 or 7 days. 
    • Self-Defense messages - notifies the user about applications of other vendors try to get access to files and programs (for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations only)
  • Info
    • Disinfection/Removal of infected objects 
    • Object quarantined 
    • Password-protected archive 
    • Update completion 
    • Anti-Hacker rule triggering (for Kaspersky anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations only
    • Blocking of pop-up windows – (for Kaspersky anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations only)
    • Enabling/disabling protection components - notifies the user that some protection component was disabled. 
    • Protocol messages – (for Kaspersky anti-Virus 6.0 for Windows Workstations only) messages of the plug-in that filters traffic by some protocols

Parameters of each event can be configured separately for each application in the application policy on the Event processing tab.

Warning Parameters to store and to send information about the occurred events are defined for each event SEPARATELY. Highlight EACH event and define its parameters. To configure parameters for several events at a time highlight the necessary events by pressing the Shift or Ctrl button.



In order to choose/set an event notification method (by e-mail, NET SEND or by running executable), check the corresponding boxes in the table.

To save events and to change the notifications parameters click the Properties button on the Events tab.
