Concerning to Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0 MP1

For the computer to activate (and the operating system to load) before a group/ global task is started Wake On LAN function is embedded into Kaspersky Administration Kit

This function is launched for each task separately: right-click a task > Properties > the Schedule tab > click the Advanced button > check Activate computer before the task is launched by function Wake On LAN (min): and set the number value. By default the option is disabled.

To make the function available, set any task schedule different from Manually.

 

Necessary requirements for the Wake On LAN efficiency:

1. The motherboard must support Wake On LAN.

2. The Wake On LAN feature must be enabled in the motherboard's BIOS.

3. The NIC must support Wake On LAN.

4. There must be a wire connecting the motherboard's WOL port to the NIC's WOL port.

5. The "Good Connection" light on the back of the NIC must be lit when the machine is off.

6. UDP port 60000 should be opened on a client computer.

7. Administration Server and a client computer must be in the same Intranet (packets cannot be broadcast across the Internet)
