Kaspersky's latest antivirus product for home users, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0, successfully completed all comparative tests conducted by the UK publication Virus Bulletin which compared antivirus solutions on a Windows XP platform. The purpose of the test is to determine how effectively products detect every type of virus found "in the wild." Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 for was awarded the VB100% status after successfully detecting 100% of all viruses, while at the same time generating no false-positives.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 successfully passed certification tests conducted by research center West Coast Labs, confirming a high quality of programming and ability to withstand the latest popular Spyware technology.

For a company to be certified to the Spyware Checkmark, the product must be able to detect Trojans, Key-Loggers, Cookies and other assorted Malware in the West Coast Labs Spyware test suite. The product should not cause any false alarms (based on testing against the West Coast Labs alarm test suite). Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 successfully passed testing and registered satisfying results, thereby following in the tradition of the previous generation of products from Kaspersky Lab.

Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions that protect against viruses, hacker attacks and spam, reports the successful completion of Checkmark certification tests by Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 in several categories. Checkmark certification attests to the fact that software and hardware security systems meet stringent quality standards. The independent test laboratory of West Coast Labs, a British scientific research centre, determines criteria and carries out testing.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0 was tested in several categories, including Antivirus Level 2. For Level 2 certification, an antivirus program must successfully detect and disinfect all viruses on the "in the wild" list. Kaspersky Anti-Virus was successful in all tests and immediately received three Checkmark certifications: Antivirus Level 1, Antivirus Level 2, and Trojan.

The purpose of the tests was to determine how effectively a product can detect every type of virus found "in the wild," while generating no false-positives. Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 was not only praised for "exemplary performance," but also for being both "easy both to install and to operate." Due to such exceptional performance, Kaspersky Anti-Virus was given a well-deserved VB 100% award.

Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows File Servers successfully completed all the comparative tests conducted by the UK publication Virus Bulletin which compared antivirus solutions compatible with the Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition platform. The main aim of the testing is to determine how effectively solutions detect the most common and dangerous types of malicious program.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows File Servers was awarded the VB100% status, once again confirming the reputation of Kaspersky Lab products on the international IT market. In their review, Virus Bulletin editors particularly stressed the product's high performance and its traditionally outstanding levels of malicious program detection.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Version 5.0 ha pasado con éxito las pruebas de certificación realizadas en la plataforma Microsoft Windows XP por el centro internacional de investigaciones West Coast Labs en la categoría de protección contra programas espías (spyware). Ahora Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal ostenta el certificado Spyware Checkmark.

Para recibir el certificado Spyware Checkmark, un producto antivirus debe cumplir con una serie de requisitos.El producto debe bloquear efectivamente programas espías de la colección de West Coast Labs, que consiste en ejemplos de programas espías que existen en el mundo real.Además, el producto no debe generar falsos positivos u otros errores causados por detección incorrecta.

La certificación Checkmark asegura que los sistemas de seguridad de software y hardware cumplen estrictamente sus estándares de calidad. Las pruebas independientes delos Laboratorios West Coast, son llevadas a cabo en un centro de investigación científico Británico, el cual determina los criterios. Los laboratorios West Coast actualmente prueban programas antivirus en tres niveles: Nivel 1, Nivel 2 y Trojan Checkmark. Kaspersky Anti-Virus una vez más pasó con éxito las pruebas en los tres niveles y recibió una extensión de la certificación.
