Always-on antivirus protection and on-demand scanning
The product scans every file that is launched or modified, treats or deletes any suspicious objects, and/or quarantines them for further analysis. -
Proactive protection from malware
The new antivirus engine incorporates advanced anti-malware protection methods such as an heuristic analyzer capable of identifying malicious programs with a very high degree of accuracy. -
Backup copying
Any suspicious objects that are detected are placed into quarantine. If the product performs any actions on an infected object, an unmodified copy is first placed into backup storage. -
Flexible scan settings
The file scan settings enable the administrator to: exempt certain processes from scanning; set the depth of antivirus protection; specify which file types must always be scanned and which should be exempted completely, etc. This approach helps optimize the server load and ensures the flexible management of corporate network security. -

Selection of management tools
The product can be managed either directly or remotely via the Microsoft Management Console, the Kaspersky Security Center, or by using the command line. The console provides graphical reports on the protection status of the EMC Celerra/VNX equipment. -

General Requirements:Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Storage can be installed on a server running either 32-bit or 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows. Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1 is required if installing and operating Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 for Storage on a computer. The server must be running one of the following versions of Microsoft Windows
