Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 named Best New Product in the Middle East Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, announces that Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 has received a prestigious Choice of Channel 2008 Award in the Best New Product category. The winners of the various Choice of Channel 2008 Awards were chosen by more than 1000 representatives from leading IT companies, major retail chains and computer stores based in the Middle East. The results of the voting saw Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 win the Best New Product category, beating products such as Asus Eee PC, Dell E Series PC, and Linksys LELA. “We are delighted to receive such a top award and we are grateful to our partners for their support,” said Garry Kondakov, Kaspersky Lab’s Managing Director, EEMEA. “Throughout 2008, Kaspersky Lab placed a lot of emphasis on developing the company’s business in the Middle East and Africa, and achieved some remarkable results – our sales in the region grew 410% compared to the previous year.
