Conference Objective

This conference brings together students, experts, scientists and researchers in a collaborative environment to present and discuss issues relating to cybercrime. It provides a platform for the next generation to be able to share their respective knowledge and experiences and to develop new ideas to improve the level of security in information technology.

The best submissions will be given awards and valuable prizes (1st place 1500$, 2nd place 1000$ and 3rd place 750$) from Kaspersky Lab and the authors will be invited to attend the MEA and Asia Pacific Conference for Young Professionals to be held on 14 – 16 March, 2012 at City University of Hong Kong. The authors will be given a certificate of participation.

Language: English, Chinese (only for students from China)

In order to take part in the conference, please fill in the web form that can be found here and submit your research in either .ZIP or .RAR format (the .ZIP or .RAR file must contain two documents, .PDF format – i.e. an abstract of your paper and your paper).

Submissions will be accepted until January 18th, 2012 (inclusive)

The authors of the best research papers, as assessed by the program committee, will be invited to present their work at the Conference. Expenses (travel and hotel) may be paid for participants from other cities and countries, at the discretion of Kaspersky Lab.

If successful, applicants will be notified on February 6^th, 2012. Conference applicants will receive notification by email. A list of the best reports will be published on the conference website.

One speaker representing each submitted work will be considered as an official conference participant. There is no limit on the number of authors involved with each submission.

(The final paper should be translated into English in order to attend the Asia Pacific & MEA Cup)

The name of the category for which the paper is being submitted
The author(s) full name(s) in alphabetical order, if there are several authors

The professor managing the research: full name, position, academic degree and title and E-Mail address

The abstract of your paper should be no more than a page long and yet give a complete summary of your research. This is a synopsis of the whole document, which should allow the reader to gain an understanding of the objectives and outcome of the actual paper. It is brief and to the point, normally between 130-200 words maximum.

Your papers should contain the following:

A clear Introduction to the topic and aims of the paper
A section presenting background/ literature review
One of more sections presenting the student's main contribution (i.e. approach and any associated results)
A clear conclusion
References in Harvard standard format

IMPORTANT! We are not interested in 'copy and paste' research papers. It has to be your own work based on your own research activity.

The program committee consists of the experts of Kaspersky Lab and the professors all around the world.
Your paper will be evaluated by the following criteria:

Social importance and relevance of the research
Comprehensive content
Objective information and analysis
Scientific and methodological development
