Deputy IT Director Europe (m/f)

Location: Ingolstadt, Germany, European Headquarters

Start date: Immediate, full time


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

  • Participate in planning and facilitate the development and implementation of European IT business process and quality management systems, ensuring their alignment to IT and corporate goals and objectives.
  • Monitor European IT service and process 'quality' metrics and trends, proactively identifying IT process and service improvements.
  • Facilitate the design, development and execution of European IT service and process improvement projects that align with the IT Quality initiatives and service process strategy.
  • Facilitate periodic SLA and OLA reviews to insure European IT services and associated agreements as delivered by internal/external parties and vendors continue to meet business expectations and are in line with global IT directives.
  • Coordinate, together with IT Director Europe, the European IT service roadmap and strategy - oversee and maintain the European IT service portfolio. Manage all IT components within the scope of service definition to insure business service level targets are established and documented.
  • Supervise IT project initiatives at the European level to ensure they adhere to IT project quality standards and meet customer expectations.
  • Facilitate investigation of systematic and critical failures of European IT processes and systems, identify root causes and coordinate with IT Quality the development and testing of corrective actions and ensure they are applied in line with the IT process strategy.
  • Establish control of IT assets across the European offices as governed by Global IT Asset processes.
  • Lead IT service desk operations within European region level governed by Global Service Desk strategy, processes and procedures.
  • Facilitate European region integration to the Global Service Desk model, insuring service level (SLA) and organisational level (OLA) agreements meet customer expectations.
  • Liaise with IT Director Europe to maintain effective communication between IT and business units.
  • Facilitate European IT Customer Satisfaction surveys proactively measuring IT service level satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with IT Director Europe to establish IT employee development programmes, global IT knowledge sharing and training ensuring delivery of 'IT Service Quality' across European region.
  • Build and manage the European IT team in CE office in accordance with the goals and tasks that are set by the European IT Director and corporate IT Department.
  • Protect organisation's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Order process in co-operation with our facility/fleet manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications (desirable):

  • Higher education degree
  • IT industry qualification (ITIL, PMP:) a plus

Knowledge, skills & experience (essential):

  • German as native language
  • Fluent in English
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
