Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 4.0 has been named the best anti-virus solution.
The popular French computer journal SVM recently conducted a test of nine anti-virus programs produced by leading manufacturers. The competition resulted in Kaspersky Anti-Virus 4.0 showing the best results and being awarded the editor's top rating.
The testing targeted anti-virus products for home use; among the products surveyed were McAfee VirusScan, Norman Virus Control, Aladdin eSafe Desktop, Norton AntiVirus, F-Prot, Trend PC-Cillin, and Panda Antivirus Platinum. For testing Kaspersky Lab presented a solution for experienced users, Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal, the latest version of which was released in the first quarter of 2002.
Test results proved Kaspersky Anti-Virus to be the most effective in detecting malicious code and in deleting infected files. Other advantages noted by the SVM editorial staff are Kaspersky's wealth of settings options, high speed of operation and its wide range of functional capabilities.
Summarizing the results, SVM's editorial staff recommended Kaspersky Anti-Virus as the optimal solution for experienced users - the technology employed in Kaspersky Anti-Virus ensures the highest level of anti-virus security, and the highly configurable settings allow maximum compatibility with users requirements.
