Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content and threat management solutions, celebrates the first anniversary of its partnership with the AF Corse racing team. The partnership was launched back in May 2010 at the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona and has proved outstandingly successful for both companies.

“Our partnership with Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro has developed at very high speed. We've made great strides during this year and look forward to further developing our relationship in the future,” commented Eugene Kaspersky, CEO and co-founder of Kaspersky Lab. “We share the same values as Ferrari, such as our pursuit of cutting-edge technologies, the high quality of our products, an innovative approach to what we do and a constant desire to succeed. This is what drives both our companies to be leaders in our fields and this time, as always, Kaspersky Lab support Ferrari to get a place on the podium”.

The first stage of the partnership included sponsorship of the AF Corse team at the Le Mans Series and the award of ‘Official Supplier to the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 Team’ status. Half a year later in November 2010 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Kaspersky Lab announced that it had become an ‘Official Sponsor’ of the Scuderia Ferrari team for the 2011 and 2012 Formula One seasons. As a result, the Kaspersky Lab logo appeared on the Ferrari team’s cars at both the Formula One and the LMS Championships.

Another great milestone for the partnership was the signing of a licensing agreement that saw the release of Kaspersky Internet Security Special Ferrari Edition. The co-branded product with its Ferrari-styled user interface and Ferrari Virtual Academy video simulator game was launched on 25 March, 2011 at the start of the Formula One racing season in Melbourne.

This year, Kaspersky Lab will celebrate with AF Corse team their achievements at the Le Mans Series Championships - a European sports car endurance series that takes place at the legendary Le Mans circuit in France. Kaspersky Lab will once again be lending their full support to the Ferrari AF Corse team as they battle for victory in the renowned 24 Hours of Le Mans GT race, which begins on 11 June.

The Kaspersky Lab Logo will feature proudly on all of the Ferrari GT cars at Le Mans, including the brand new F458 Italia GTE Pro driven by Giancarlo Fisichella and Gianmaria Bruni, who are currently leading both the Le Mans Series and the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup championships.
