Kaspersky Lab is named the "Security Brand of the Year" by VAR magazine

Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content management solutions, took the Security Brand of the Year award at the Channel Awards presented by Vendors and Resellers, an authoritative B2B magazine for the ICT marketplace in Middle East region.

The award is given to companies who achieve tremendous results in terms of regional brand equity through well directed product introductions, marketing programs and after sales service investments. Kaspersky Lab outperformed the competition in the region and took the 2009 award for the enormous impact that the Company has made on the market over the past year.

The 2009 Vendors and Resellers Choice of Channel Awards is the 4th of its kind. Over the past three years, winners of these prestigious industry awards have been chosen through a transparent and exhaustive voting process, carried out over a 2-3 months period, making each of these awards a decisive and an indisputable endorsement of the popular verdict from the channel. Whilst in the past the awards have been decided by a combination of online and offline voting methods, this year's VAR Choice of Channel Awards saw an exceptional turnout via the online poll, which was hosted at www.varonline.com.

This year, the awards included twenty-six product categories with three new additions. The twenty-six award categories have been drawn up to cover a wide spectrum of achievements across the vendor, distributor, retailer and reseller communities. The poll to select the winner took place between16 October and 31 December 2009, with the winner being the company that polled the most votes.
