Kaspersky® Anti-Virus integrated into Copperfasten's Mail Firewall Appliances
Copperfasten, the leading producer of application protection appliances, has partnered with Kaspersky Lab to add Kaspersky® Anti-Virus to its range of Mail Firewall Appliances. The Mail Firewall Appliance protects email from unwanted threats such as viruses, phishing, spam and other malicious content. The partnership will see Kaspersky Anti-Virus shipped with the full range of solutions allowing Copperfasten to provide duel antivirus protection at the gateway for inbound and outbound email.
Kaspersky Lab is a leading developer of information security solutions, with over 15 years of antivirus research and development experience. Kaspersky Lab outpaces other leading virus labs in its accuracy of malware detection and in the rapid response to new malware threats. This has been confirmed by numerous comparisons conducted by the world's most comprehensive test labs including AV-comparatives, AV-test, GmbH, the Virus Test Centre at the University of Hamburg and by many IT-related magazines.
Numerous tests carried out by Virus Bulletin, the leading specialist publication in the field of viruses and related malware, have shown Kaspersky Anti-Virus detects 100% of the viruses in the magazine's collection on various operating systems, and without false positives.
“A false alarm occurs when an antivirus program mistakenly flags an innocent file as being infected. This may seem harmless enough, but it can be every bit as much hassle and as costly as a real infection. The Copperfasten Mail Firewall, integrated with Kaspersky Anti-Virus, provides superior defense against all types of malware with no false alarms”, stated David Emm, Senior Technology Consultant at Kaspersky Lab UK.
According to Ronan Kavanagh, Copperfasten Sales Director, “Copperfasten always endeavors to offer our customers the most secure, robust and reliable solutions possible. This partnership will allow us to provide the best-of-breed antivirus solution on the market to our customers and meets with our requirement of optimum scalable email protection through the deployment of the Copperfasten Mail Firewall. Kaspersky Lab has demonstrated time and time again that it is at the forefront in its speed of response to new malware attacks and frequency of release of antivirus signatures which is critical in email protection today.”
Copperfasten Technologies, headquartered in Galway, Ireland was founded in 2000 by the original AltaVista firewall development team. It provides Internet Security solutions for SME's, global enterprises and government organisations. The Mail firewall Appliance was launched in 2004 and offers protection to corporate email from spam and viruses from the small to enterprise level customer.
