Kaspersky® Anti-Virus (AVP) has been awarded as the best anti-virus solution by top European computer magazines
Cambridge, UK, November 22, 2000 - Kaspersky Lab Int., an international data-security software-development company, has been awarded the best anti-virus solution again. This time Kaspersky® Anti-Virus (AVP) is the choice of German and Polish computer magazines' editorial boards.
The German magazine "Home Page" published the results of product tests on 6 of the leading anti-virus software companies in its November issue. Kaspersky® Anti-Virus (AVP) has confirmed its status as one of the most reliable anti-virus software products by demonstrating an excellent virus scanning ability. The editorial board has granted its award to Kaspersky® Anti-Virus, noting its solid programming and strong support of scanning archived data.
"For many years Kaspersky® Anti-Virus (AVP) has been among the top anti-virus solutions. <...> Its virus-scanning rate remains very high, as this test confirms," said Mr. Wolfgang Nefzger, HomePage (Germany).
The November issue of Polish magazine "Enter" has also published the results of anti-virus software testing. Kaspersky® Anti-Virus (AVP) has received the editorial board's award, becoming the leader among fifteen anti-viruses tested.
Kaspersky Lab's product has shown high results in detecting practically all types of malicious codes: Internet-worms, backdoors, macro viruses, Unix-viruses, etc.
The Polish issue of the well-known computing magazine Chip in its recent analysis of anti-virus software also notes that Kaspersky Lab's product is highly effective. The small file size of Kaspersky® Anti-Virus (AVP) daily updates (normally from just 3 to 20Kb) is mentioned as an additional asset, making the updating procedure notably easier to download the updated anti-virus database from the Internet.
