Kaspersky® Anti-Virus Mobile as a Service is a solution that enables mobile operators and other service providers to extend the range of services available to their customers by offering subscription to Kaspersky® Anti-Virus Mobile, a leading product that protects smartphones from IT threats.

The growing popularity of smartphones and communicators has resulted in the evolution of viruses, worms and Trojans targeted beyond the domain of personal computers. Today, an increasing number of malicious programs target mobile devices.

Kaspersky® Anti-Virus Mobile as a Service offers:

  • An additional source of revenue. Offering an additional service such as antivirus protection opens up an additional source of revenue. Purchasing a product based on the subscription model is in many ways more convenient for users and, therefore, makes it possible to attract and retain more customers.
  • Long-term revenue. Since the costs for extending the service are minimal, Kaspersky Lab partners will be able to receive a stable income for extended periods of time. And, even if a user chooses to discontinue the service, the program will continue to function, even without updates. This discourages users from uninstalling the product; thus, some users may renew their subscription at a later time.

A customer can subscribe to the service using one of the methods offered by the service provider (e.g., via SMS or the user’s statistics page on the provider’s server). Renewal of the subscription to the service, the updating of antivirus databases and scanning of data is performed automatically, without input from the user.
