    In the November 2005, Webwereld.nl credited Kaspersky Lab with the Best Product award for it's superious antivirus detection rates and response. “Kaspersky Lab is still number one when it comes to virus detections.”

    In both November issues (Nr. 44 & 45) of the IT professional magazine Computable in the Netherlands, Kaspersky Anti-Virus Business Optimal Suite won the award for Best Buy. The editors were impressed with the price/quality ratio of Kaspersky Lab's product for small and medium-sized businesses.

    “Kaspersky Anti-Virus Business Optimal Suite still performs best", stated the editors, in a comparison of other similar antivirus products.

    The Russian edition of PC Magazine, a popular international IT journal, published its annual overview of the best Russian software products. Programs for the survey were selected by experts from the Russian and American editions the magazine, making the choice more objective. Kaspersky® Corporate Suite, an information protection solution developed by Kaspersky Lab specifically for enterprises, was voted one of the leaders in the data security segment and received top marks from the magazine's experts.

    The PC Magazine survey emphasizes the high reliability that distinguishes all Kaspersky Lab products. According to the reviewers, who awarded Kaspersky Corporate Suite the highest marks on a five-point scale, “we decided to select Kaspersky Corporate Suite as a good example of an integrated corporate network protection system.”

    Kaspersky Personal Security Suite was named editor's choice in the October issue of PC Magazine Netherlands.

    The editors explained that:“The excellent scores of the product persuaded us to award Kaspersky Personal Security Suite with the editor's choice award”.

    In the September issue of the Belgian magazine Datanews Kaspersky Business Optimal Suite was named Best Buy.

    The editors commented that "Kaspersky Business Optimal Suite deserves the Best Buy award because of it's excellent performance and attractive pricing”.

    At the end of August 2005, a major security portal, www.av-comparatives.org, published a review of the most popular antivirus products. Comparative testing was carried out by Andreas Clementi, an independent researcher. One of the main focuses of the test was solution detection rates.

    In order to maximize objectivity, detection rates were assessed according to four criteria. Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal Pro, Kaspersky Lab's flagship personal product, was placed first in each category, ensuring its leadership over other solutions tested: AntiVir Workstation, Avast! Prof., AVG Professional, BitDefender Prof.+, Dr.Web, F-Prot Anti-Virus, Internet Security, McAfee Virus Scan, NOD32 Anti-Virus and Sophos Anti-Virus.

    Kaspersky® Anti-Virus 5.6.1 for Novell Netware has passed Virus Bulletin's latest tests with flying colours. Testing conducted by the UK publication is designed to determine how well solutions detect the most common and most dangerous types of malicious program.

    In their review of the Russian solution, Virus Bulletin editors particularly stressed the user-friendly, innovative administration system, which is fully integrated into the NetWare ConsoleOne standard management interface.

    This latest Virus Bulletin VB100% award once again confirms the reputation of Kaspersky Lab products on the international IT market.

    Reviewers from the German 'Computerbild' publication were unanimous in announcing Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal with Maintenance Pack 3 winner of their anti-spyware program test. The Kaspersky Lab solution not only protects against viruses, but also prevents spyware from penetrating users' machines. Although antivirus programs do not by default include anti-spyware protection, Kaspersky Anti-Virus was included in the test simply for comparative purposes. However, the seven dedicated anti-spyware solutions tested received ratings from 'satisfactory' to 'unsatisfactory', whereas Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 5.0 with Maintenance Pack 3 was rated 'good'. The solution detected and deleted 90 percent of the spyware which was used in the test, and detected 99% of other malicious programs. The reviewers highlighted that the solution was not disabled by malicious programs.

    Kaspersky Lab announced that Kaspersky Administration Kit was voted Best Buy in a review of antivirus management tools in the July issue of SC Magazine, the largest information security publication in circulation globally. SC Magazine's reviewer noted that Kaspersky Administration Kit “provided some extremely useful features, including the ability to initiate scans on remote machines, and the fact that the administration software is free is an added incentive.” An additional benefit of the program that was mentioned included the system's ability to detect and report on software that could potentially pose a security risk, such as certain remote administration programs and programs with known security flaws. Provided free of charge to workstation users, Kaspersky Administration Kit supports remote management of Kaspersky Anti-Virus including deployment, scanning and treatment of all network nodes, set up of automatic scanning schedules, configuring program modules on individual computers, managing user privileges and viewing reports.

    Kaspersky Corporate Suite was selected as one of three finalists for the “Anti-Virus Product of the Year” category in the 2005 Techworld.com Network Awards. Techworld.com is the UK's premier site for enterprise computing and networking. The Techworld.com Network Awards recognize excellence within the industry from two different perspectives - public and private users and vendors, and service providers. No other award honors both sides of the industry within the UK. The winners will be announced at the gala dinner Wednesday, 22 June 2005, at the Brewery in the City of London.

    The May edition of the Dutch magazine PCM featured the results of comparative testing of the most popular antivirus products on the domestic market. Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal came first place, with 96 out of a possible 100 points.

    The reviewers named the solution Best Product and highlighted such advantages as the availability of a Dutch version and the user-friendly interface.

    Overall, the reviewers praised Kaspersky Anti-Virus for its all-round excellent protection.

    The March edition of Netwerk (Belgium) featured results of comparative tests of the most popular antivirus solutions on the domestic market. Kaspersky Lab received the Editor's Recommendation.

    Attention was drawn to the user-friendly interface in its products, which make the company's solutions appropriate even for less experienced users.

    In March, Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 5.0 was designated BestBuy in comparative tests carried out by Digitale Consument, which is published by the Dutch Consumers' Association. Testers stressed the security advantage offered by the fact that Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 5.0 can scan archive files.

    Solutions which integrate Kaspersky Lab technologies (Denda, F-Secure and Steganos) also performed very well.

    In the April issue of the Austrian IT-publication IM, Kaspersky Antivirus Personal 5.0 was evaluated alongside other antivirus programs, and received a rating of “Good''. The testers highlighted the following benefits: exceptional detection rates, a user-friendly interface, simple installation, and the option to automatically update the antivirus database. The product was specifically recommended for beginning users owing to the comprehensive help files.

    The April edition of EHZ, an Austrian IT publication, included a review of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.5 for Microsoft ISA Server 2000 Enterprise Edition, under the heading 'Secure is secure'. The solution, designed for SMBs with up to 1,000 users, was the Editor's Choice. Reviewers stressed that the company reacts fastest in the world to new threats, and released antivirus database updates hourly. The product was also noted for ease of use and management.

    The Match edition of Netwerk (Belgium) tested antivirus solutions popular on the domestic market. The Kaspersky Lab product was named Editor's Recommendation, and noted for the user-friendly interface, making the solution appropriate even for less experienced users.

    The April edition of PC Professionell, a German IT publication, included antivirus solution test results. Kaspersky Anti-Virus Business Optimal beat fourteen competing products to first place, with the solution for SMBs being named Editor's Choice. The review stressed the excellent detection rates, the wide ranging functionality, and the reports system.

    Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 5.0 was awarded first place in comparative testing of 9 personal antivirus products by PC Go, a German IT magazine. Products were tested according to five criteria: virus detection, the functioning of the antivirus monitor, real-time scanning, speed and functionality. The Kaspersky Lab solution scored highly in all categories, with maximum points being awarded in three of them. The testers applauded the ease of configuration, the hourly updates to antivirus databases, and the product's ergonomic interface.

    Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 5.0 came top in Stiftung Warentest's February testing of IT security solutions. Antivirus scanners, firewalls, and integrated solutions were all tested by the organisation, founded by the German government to provide independent testing of goods and services available on the German market. Solutions were tested on a range of criteria, with a particular focus on ease of use, documentation, and provision of technical support. Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 5.0 was named the winner, partly due to the speed of detection. The solution also performed highly effectively, detecting 799 viruses out of the 800 used in the test. The reviewers also highlighted the fact that updates to the antivirus databases are released every hour.
