Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of secure content and threat management solutions, is aiming to further boost its presence in the European market after forming a new partnership with Tech Data in the Czech Republic. The latest collaboration, which complements Kaspersky Lab’s existing distribution links with PCS, spearheads a plan to see the company take its place among the top 3 antivirus vendors in the Czech Republic within 3 years.
"We would like to increase our share in all segments. Through our cooperation with a new partner we hope to strengthen our position in the consumer market. Tech Data's extensive network allows us to offer our products in all key retail chains and online stores," said Andis Šteinmanis, Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab for the Baltics, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Kaspersky Lab plans to introduce Czech localizations of consumer products - including Kaspersky Anti-Virus, Kaspersky Internet Security and Kaspersky PURE - in the foreseeable future.
Kaspersky Lab’s template also focuses on business customers. "We recently launched several brand-new corporate solutions: Kaspersky Endpoint Security 8, Kaspersky Security Center and our very latest solution – Kaspersky Security for Virtualization. This provides virtual IT infrastructures with centralized anti-malware security. From now on Kaspersky Lab is able to offer its Czech customers a single, unified management and security platform across their entire virtual, physical and mobile environments,” said Vasily Dyagilev, Managing Director Emerging Markets, Kaspersky Lab.
Tomas Cigler, country manager for Tech Data, believes the agreement is significant for Tech Data, and he expects that Kaspersky Lab's security products will quickly rank among the retailer’s fastest selling solutions.
“From a retail perspective, we see good prospects for Kaspersky Lab products for personal users. The company’s newcomer – Kaspersky ONE – has strong potential on the Czech market. Kaspersky Lab solutions have been prominent for many security-conscious consumers in Western Europe for a long time. We anticipate similar success in the local market,” Cigler concluded.
