Kaspersky Lab Increases UK Channel Sales by 75%

Superior technology and speed of response contribute to successCulham Innovation Centre, UK (10th December 2003) Kaspersky Lab announced today that it has significantly increased its UK channel partnerships during 2003 and is set to continue the trend during 2004. The partnerships have taken several forms, including OEM agreements, distribution rights and the integration of its award-winning anti-virus kernel into other security vendors' products, enabling Kaspersky Lab UK to increase its channel sales during 2003 by nearly 75%. The success of Kaspersky Lab channel presence has been attributed to the package put together for partners, which includes excellent margins and Kaspersky Lab' superior technology. Partners that have signed with Kaspersky Lab this year include BlackSpider Technologies,BorderWare Technologies, Chameleon Technology,Network Box,OpenPSL and Time Group. Duncan Hume, Vendor Alliance Manager of security distributor OpenPSL says, 'Since signing with Kaspersky Lab earlier this year we have been able to offer our resellers an excellent anti-virus package that allows them to be extremely competitive. This combined with the high level of support Kaspersky gives, including now a European Virus Research Centre, has enabled us to attract a large amount of new business.' In November this year Kaspersky Lab opened a new European Computer Anti-Virus Research Centre in Paris. Headed by leading computer virus expert Marc Blanchard, the new centre will be involved in real-time monitoring of the virus situation in Europe, and technology research together with the Kaspersky Lab Global Virus Research Centre based in Moscow, Russia.
