Antivirus Protection & Internet Security Software
This conference brings together students, experts, scientists and researchers in a collaborative environment to present and discuss issues relating to cybercrime. It provides a platform for the next generation to be able to share their respective knowledge and experiences and to develop new ideas to improve the level of security in information technology.
The best submissions will be given awards and valuable prizes from Kaspersky Lab and the authors will be invited to attend the MEA and Asia Pacific Conference for Young Professionals to be hosted at the University of Technology MARA in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on March 4-6, 2011. The authors will be given a certificate of participation.

Bachelor and Master Students from all Asia Pacific, African and Middle East Universities, Institutes of Higher Education and Graduate Schools are welcome to apply. The program committee will evaluate and select the best submissions.

Conference participation is free of charge. In order to take part in the conference, please fill in the web form that can be found at http://www.kaspersky.com/events and submit your research in either .ZIP or .RAR format (the .ZIP or .RAR file must contain two documents, .DOC format – i.e. an abstract of your paper and your paper).
The authors of the best research papers, as assessed by the program committee, will be invited to present their work at the Conference. Expenses (travel and hotel) may be paid for participants from other cities and countries, at the discretion of Kaspersky Lab.
If successful, applicants will be notified before February 7th, 2011. Conference applicants will receive notification by email. A list of the best reports will be published on the conference website.
One speaker representing each submitted work will be considered as an official conference participant. There is no limit on the number of authors involved with each submission.

Please include the following on the title page:
The abstract of your paper should be no more than a page long and yet give a complete summary of your research. This is a synopsis of the whole document, which should allow the reader to gain an understanding of the objectives and outcome of the actual paper. It is brief and to the point, normally between 130-200 words maximum.
Your papers should contain the following:
Both your abstract and your research paper must be submitted in MS Word (97–2003, *.doc or *.rtf).
For those invited to the Conference and asked to do a presentation on their research: Your presentations must be prepared in MS PowerPoint in English language. You will get a PowerPoint template from us and be informed on time, if you are chosen to do a presentation.
Work that is submitted to the conference will not be edited, returned or paid for. Upon submitting their work participants automatically agree to the possibility of publication and the use of their work for scientific and educational purposes in accordance with copyright law. In order to use the work for commercial purposes, a copyright contract may be offered between the participant and the tournament organizer. The program committee reserves the right to refuse publication without any explanation.
We are not interested in “copy and paste”- research papers, but in papers that are prepared exclusively for this conference and based on real research activity.
